Reviews
The restaurant layout is rather small and odd. Not many window seats. Dinner buffet spread is just nice. High quality and good variety. Price is steep.
Don’t get confused by those beautiful pictures from internet or IG.
Only 2 seats that has sea view. The rest is nothing different from other Hotels Restaurant.
My family was so disappointed.
Food is so so. Ambience is so so. Not worth the price at all.
If there is no sea view. I will still choose Peninsula Hotel.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe 103 located in the renowned Ritz Carlton Hotel. While the food selection might not have been extensive, the freshness and deliciousness of the ingredients used truly made up for it. Moreover, the excellent and friendly service provided by the staff, particularly Yoga, Maria, and the manager, greatly enhanced our overall dining experience.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted warmly by the staff and promptly shown to our table. Although we were slightly disappointed not to get the window seat we had hoped for, it did not hinder our enjoyment of the evening. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a well-thought-out interior design that added to the overall charm of Cafe 103.
As for the food, every dish we tried was a culinary delight. The limited menu ensured that each item was crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. From the appetizers to the main course and desserts, it was evident that the chef's focus was on quality rather than quantity.
What truly set our dining experience apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Yoga, Maria, and the manager went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable evening. Their attentiveness, knowledge, and friendliness made us feel like valued guests. They were always ready to answer any questions we had, suggest delightful combinations of dishes, and cater to our specific dietary preferences.
Despite not obtaining the window seat we had requested, the warm and wonderful experience we had at Cafe 103 more than made up for it. The delectable food, fresh ingredients, and impeccable service truly exceeded our expectations. We left the restaurant feeling thoroughly satisfied and grateful for the memorable dining experience we had.
I would highly recommend Cafe 103 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. Whether celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic evening, or simply savoring delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere, Cafe 103 is sure to impress with its fresh ingredients, delightful flavors, and outstanding service.
Went for xmas buffet. Let's start with the pros:
- Food quality and choice was kind of ok, good enough and what one would expect.
- Service was ok, they're really fast with taking the plates away and anything else.
Cons:
- The buffet is on a balcony type area, not much of a restaurant feel. And not much of a view, you look down on to their other restaurant and felt you should be down there, proper tables, better view from floor 103, more space. There's simply no view.
- Tables are cafe style, sofa seaters, I guess that facilitates them collecting plates?? Huh? Seating was uncomfortable, you're kind of half perching, half sitting, tight seating, seats were heavy, difficult to get out, and other customers walking past too close to the low tables.
- The biggest problem is the eating time, you simply don't have enough time. Even if you only have a few things, 2 hours is just not enough.
- Also, we were a party of 8, they didn't tell us that we would be split into two tables of four one behind the other. What?!
In summary for the price, nearly 1000 HKD per head, it's just not good value as the cons heavily outweigh the pros. Quite disappointed.
Few seats, fewer windows, so the appeal of the 103rd floor is mostly lost.
Korean themed afternoon tea was tasty but not exactly expected, and the literal advertising on the food was disgustingly tactless.
The staff were unable to provide any kids menu "because the cafe is busy on weekends", despite 1/2 of the restaurant being empty. Any other 5-star hotel I've been to would be more than happy to accommodate such a simple request with food from another restaurant in the building.
The earl grey tea was stale, and only 1 teabag (with string attached, for a single cup) was in the teapot. Fortunately, the hot chocolate and fruit teas are delicious.
The view, while limited, is stunning.
Wonderful view makes our dining experience perfect! We have buffer dinner and all food are with high quality. Just a bit surprise the sashimi choices are very few. Dessert bar is really the biggest gem to me. So yummy! My friends just love …
Excellent experience at Cafe 103 on Easter Monday. The buffet food selection here is super good, lots of premium seafood like lobsters, king crab legs, abalones, scallops, etc. Everything is so delicious! We were a bit surprised by the …
